What are the Germanic languages? Well, they're spoken natively by over 500 million and are a second language to hundreds of millions of others. They include English and German and we're going to take a deep and fun look at them with Kebed, Popcorn Club's passionate linguist.

Why don't Germans understand English? Or Dutch? How are these languages similar and yet so different? How have they changed over the years? Which of the Germanic languages is the most "pure-blood"?

As always, there will be activities, games, conversation and lots of cool stuff to learn! Let's have fun and talk about one of the most, if not the most, influential language groups in modern history.

什么是日耳曼语言？日耳曼语言包括英语和德语，超过5亿人以它们为母语，并且是数亿人的第二语言。在本次活动中，我们将与常驻Popcorn Club的激情四溢的语言学家Kebed一起轻松且深入地研究日耳曼语言。

为什么很多德国人不懂英语或者荷兰语？这些语言有什么相似之处，为什么却又如此不同？这些年来它们发生了怎样的变化？其中哪一种最“纯血”？
